what chip for an 03?

one of my buddies has an 03 duramax, CC, 4x4, with 10" lift and 37s i believe...otherwise stock. he was talkin bout gettin an edge chip.....what do yall recommend? ive heard a lot about the PPE, one of my other friends just put a quad chip on his dmax....

i have the quad on the 110 hp setting. never limped the tranny and i picked it up for 360 bucks.

2004 Chevy CC/SB LB7 LT3
EFILive, SC Trans w/ 1058 by me, Traction bars and centerlink braces built by me, Custom adjustable stock wastegate, 6 inch custom exhaust, 1792 Lift Pump, Belltech 3" drop shackles, Black H2's w/ Falken 285/60/17s for summer, BFG 315/70/17s for winter, SD sleeves, DiPricol EGT and Boost gauges on the pillar along with an Aeroforce for rail PSI and trans temp, 2 Kicker Comp CVT 10's w/ memphis amp, t-rex full face billet grille,limo tint, .Oh yeah I'm 20 and I built and tuned it myself.

the best for the buck is the diablo but i do know Van Aaken is also good but the best of the best is PPE or EFILive..

Unless he is willing to upgrade the tranny stay around a 100 hp increase.

All depends on preference at that level. EFI live is great for guys who are in the big HP game. However in this case though staying under the 400 RWHP mark with out tranny upgrades is VERY advisable!

Saying this most tuners in this range are very comparible. Shop around there are some good deals available from some of our vendors right here at TDG! :Thumbup:
I would also consider when buying your tuner that you purchase something with monitoring capabilites.

sounds good! so if hes just wanting a strong basic tuner, which yall think would be better?............quad, bullydog, edge, superchip, etc.? .....banks?
