-Whenever I hit a bump, the leaf springs or something slaps hard.(I dont know if this is normal?). I dont know if its the leaf springs or something else. It only happens when I hit a bump.

-If anyone knows what it is please tell me

Being a dump bed I'd start at the bed and subframe.

95 bronco 94 idi turbo, intercooled, maxed out pump, custom compressor, custom downpipe, 12* timing, oba, d60, 10.25, e-locker, exocage, zf5, etc.....
2011 f-550 6.7L 12ft service box, shop on wheels
80 merc 300sd, hx35, intercooled, straightpiped, modified pump, egr delete, etc.....

I just checked everything the leaf springs shackles and dump, subframe and everything. but one thing stood out,the leaf spring clamps were rusty and worn out of the helper springs. So I bought new clamps and put them on.

-How tight should the helper springs be when i put the new clamps on?

Thanks

Garage
The dump bed is what is making the noise. I drove a dump truck for a few years and know the sound.
