Wiper delay

My delay stopped working is the delay in the motor or in the switch on turn signal handle? Thanks

The "stalk" is a variable resistor changing the value of an "RC" network. The actual delay circuit is in the motor itself or a remote circuit board. There are several variants and I can't remember your particular year's application.

The question I seek an answer for is simply; why, or why not?
