Banks or Edge?

I know lots of people are saying the Quadzilla, PPE, ect.... but I can't find what I'm looking for with them.

I'm looking for something with a display that will show me my EGT's, fuel pressure, delete codes (since the DPF would be coming off), boost, ect... and I figure when I do that I minus well get some power too!

So what are people's thoughts, I'm seeing mixed reviews of the Banks 6gun w/ the PDA and no reviews of the Edge Juice w/ Attitude.

I know any of these I'm pretty much going to have to choose a setting and stay with it, but that's ok as long as I get something that will show me the parameters that i want.

OR Should I go with the Edge product that shows the parameters w/out power or the Banks PDA THEN add on a chip?

I have the banks and it works good but you have to get a different chip if you take off the DPF. My next purchase is the PPE and use the Banks Power PDA for guages.

I thought the banks 6gun or economind would work without the DPF? and that the PDA would reset the codes at start-up so the truck thought the DPF was still there...

If that isn't the case then should I look into just the banks PDA for guages & something like a PPE chip?

OK

Best tuning is EFIlive, then PPE

the Edge juice/attitude will change power levels on the fly, just by pressing the up or down buttons, its got lots of nice features, and the one i had on my dodge didnt have any problems... i liked it a lot

i personally wont buy banks, its a personal opinion, i think the guy is a blowhard who wants nothing more than to drag the names of his competition thru the mud... and his products are EXPENSIVE for what they will give you.... but thats just my opinion

Being an ex-dodge guy.....i still miss the truck but it was a lemon :-( I was t hinking you can't go wrong with the Edge, my buddy has the Juice w/ attitude on his dodge and loves it.

I was on another forum and people were saying that the Edge wasn't one that works well with the Chevy, I also heard that changing on the fly can mess up the Allison tranny since it trys to readjust to different power/driving conditions.

I'm going to do some more research i'll let you all know what I figure out

Personally i am waiting, saving my pennies, upgrading my transmission to a suncoast 3 or 4, and then EFI LIVE! thats the best way to get 500 hp from these rigs

I have a buddy with a LB7 and has had the Edge juice w/ Attitude on it for almost 4 years now and he loves it. the only this he has had to do with it is unplug it once and reconnect it. I guess to reset it. other than that he has had no issue. maybe the newer dmaxs are different I don't know. just my 0.02s

Mechanical gauges are better than a PDF

efi live and PPE both shut off the dpf and are better products for the money you spend as compared to banks

but hey its your wasted cash, not mine
