Will early 99 front springs fit an 04

I have a buddy who has a very early 99 SD with X springs.
I know there are differences between the early 99 and the late 99-04 but I dont know what that difference is.
Since the springs have been sitting on his cellar floor for about 4 years, I was thinking they would be a nice addition to my DR hanger kit, but will they fit?

They should fit. I don't believe there were any changes to the leaf suspension.

Their was a little bit of a change with the suspension from the 99 to the 04's. if i remember the 99's only have like one or two heavy duty springs and the 04 are like 4 or 5 springs, i really cant remebe, but i think they will work but you might need to use a leveling kit with the 99 springs. but trying to help

If they don't fit or work, I could use a set of X springs on my 99. I'd be interested in them.
