STOCK 17'S WITH 305/70/17'S HELP

hey guys i went to get tires this weekend for the truck , all they had in stock was some bad *** tires that look great nitto grapplers but there width was 305 not the standard 265. they fit and didnt rub ..great BUT it rides bad really bad is it cause the over width of the tires on the stock 17's or will i need to get wider rims and how wide must i go

I know quite a few guys with 305's on the stock 17's with no issues so I'm wondering if its the tires themselves.

While I never had a problem with mine I have read several posts on here about people having issues with new Nitto's feeling loose or slick. Most people said they worked better after about 1000 miles.

when i first got my toyo m/ts they felt loose for a while but they are great now!
