Broken Track Bar Bracket

Wondering if any one else has experienced this problem? I had been depererately searching for a rattle/knock that I had been having for many months on my front end. Could not find it. It showed its ugly face yesterday on the way home from work as my truck was kinda wondering all over the road. My track bar bracket broke off on the axle end on the passengers side. It is all one piece with the lower leaf spring bracket. Thank goodness it can be welded or I would have to change the whole front axle housing. I think I can make it stronger after welding than it was stock. I have a Donahoe Racing 4-1/2" lift with a drop down bracket on the drivers side so it should not be under any more stress than if the truck were stock height. Any thoughts?

Wow, no replies on this subject. I guess this was a freak problem.

I've seen one F-450 with a broken track bar bracket.

Had a suspension shop beef up the entire side and the fabricators @ my shop were amazed at how much stronger it seems than factory.

Don't have any pics. It was pretty easy to beef it up to what seems to be twice as strong as it was from the factory. In hindsight I can see where it would have a lot of flex from the factory and cause stress cracking, but from the lack of responses it does not seem to be a common problem.
