Just want to hear what other people think. I am going to get it painted either the factory white again or matte white.

The factory paint is actually matt white under gloss clear. Matt clear would look like crap, imo. Why is it needing repainted? Be sure the prep work is good and you don't just get a Maco job, they don't always get all the bugs scraped off...

Sand and body damage. Would be matte white like the picture attached not matte clear.

You can't get a finish like that with gloss clear. IMO, it looks bad, and it will be harder to keep clean because the finish isn't as smooth. I would probably never stop buffing it because it wouldn't look right to me.

I think we are miss understanding eachother, the entire truck is being stripped and repainted not resprayed or touched up so If I do decide to go with matte white there will be nothing clear or gloss about. It will just be matte white like the picture.

What type of paint will you be using? You should probably think about resale too, using a non-standard finish like that could hurt you there.

Resale is the biggest thing holding me back, not too many people in the world would want to buy a flat colored truck.as far as the paint I don't know what kind it is I won't be doing the work.

I say go with the shiniest paint you can find. I think Cartmanea is right, not many people would want to buy a flat white truck.

I would think no matter the finish matte or gloss, when the clear goes on its gonna give it some point of gloss. I personally like the glass (supper glossy) look my self, no matter the color.
