its vgt. youll need a pretty major computer modification to get it working properly. i dont know much about aftermarket 7.3 stuff, but that is about the same size as the aftermarket 6.0 turbos that are about to hit the market. we have stock gt37s, and i think the aftermarket turbos coming out are similar to the gt40s bigger brother, the gt42. sooooo, it should fit...

says it comes w/ a controler solenoid but not sure what kind of inputs are required to make it run. Once you figure that part out the physical mounting could be dealt with.

the exhaust inlet seems to be an odd one designed to bolt directly to a manifold which you'd need to find a different housing that would allow a more conventional exhaust input or you'd be moving the turbo rather far forward to allow for the downpipe to exit with any clearance from your firewall.

To deal with the "backward" design you could mount the turbo such that it sat in the valley with the axis of the turbine shafts running parallel to the crankshaft. which would allow for the use of the existing exhaust inlet. with some modification of the stock up pipes Then your outlet from the compressor side would need to have a tight turn to direct the air foward, you'd reverse the direction the air flows through the intercooler, and depending on how you routed the compressor output hose would depend on what you did for the air intake which may need to be relocated to the passenger's side fendewell.

It could work. How much time to you have to devote to it? Also how much money?
