Tail light short

Hey guys;
I have a 99.5 F350 Powerstroke 6 speeder. Every time I turn the lights on while the truck is running the tail light fuse blows. It won't do it until I start the engine, start it up and it blows in 10 seconds. Any ideas where to look besides the tail light connections, and the trailer light connector. Been there.
Brakes and turn signals work fine

Thanks
Rodl

Have you done any work to the truck recently where you may have pinched a wire?

Check your trailer connections. Or the factory plug. It is possible there is something shorted.

Thanks for the replies. I checked many things on that truck and finally found that the retaining clip on the front clearance light on the left rear fender had fallen off and had been swinging on the light wires long enough to wear through the insulation on both wires
