Want to install an OE style fan in my 96 F250

I want to fill this whole with a stock Ford electric fan. I want to use a Ford fan because my goal for this build is I for everything mod to look stock.

This is the stock fan clutch and fan

This is the fan I wanted to use. It came out of a Texas State Trooper Crown Vic. But sadly, it does not fit. The motor makes contact with the water pump pulley. Everything else fit grate though.

What is this box for? It is on the above fan assembly. What does it do? None of the other stock fans I have has this.

This is a fan I had intended for something else. It fits the 250 pretty well though. The problems I have is I have no idea how much it puts out. I want a fan that puts out like a preachers daughter with daddy issues. The other issue is the shroud is busted up a little bit. I can trim and repair it so I can make it work. Does anyone have any idea what this fan came from?

What is this for?

There are three prongs in this connector for the fan motor but only two wires leading to it. What is the third prong for? Is one for the temperature and one for the AC?

Oh, this is a 97 F250 with a 351 gasser.

Look for an older US Gear Cyclone fan kit online. It's like a 6.0 fan and is still belt driven, but is uses an electromagnetic clutch to engage and disengage. They used to be worth 1-1.5mpg over the stock fan and cooled like mad. Or maybe try to adapt a 6.0 fan and use an aftermarket temp control with a manual override switch.

I have a fan clutch like that for my 7.3. I never heard of one for a gasser.

No gasser references at all there. 6.0 as in 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel. The US Gear units were also diesel only. If you have an electronically controlled fan clutch, it will out perform any electric fan combination you can dream up to fit the confines of your engine compartment.

My bad, I didn't realize you were working on a small block truck. I guess I just assumed it was a 7.3!

Try to find a dual fan setup off of a '00-07 Ford Focus, they move a lot of air, they're low profile and the motors will be to each side of the water pump pulley. Put each motor on a different 20A-30A relay with 10ga wire and use two of the inexpensive Flex-A-Lite adjustable temp controls. Assuming a stock 195 degree thermostat, set the one on the low speed fan for about 185deg, the high speed side for about 205deg, and run a wire from the pos+ side of the AC clutch to both relays. It will work just like an OEM computer controlled setup and if you get the relays from the wrecking yard when you pull the fan, you're only looking at about $75 for the temp controls and a cheap effective cooling system.
