Lift kit/Wheel/Tire combinations...

I am planning on lifting my truck and needed some feedback of what combination of lift, wheels, tires you guys are running? Anyone have pics?

I have a 2005 F350 CC short bed and was thinking of going with the Fabtech 8" 4 link lift. Wheels and tires are still up in the air. Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Pro Comp just came out with a dual coil over setup for the front, looks awesome and would be a great setup on the front for the PSD. I am not sure how high you want to go but, 8" is really high on a super duty. When you go that high you will have to put bigger tires on to make it look decent, and with tires that big you will have to probably put gears. I have a 4.5 tuff country on my truck and it pretty high. I am 6'2" and the top of the mirror is at the top of my head. Read my sig and see what I have. pm me if you have any other lift questions I am pretty savy about the lifts.

8 inch lift is high to me, i have a 6 inch Fabtech kit on my 03 with some 35s and it is tall, and the new trucks sit higher than the older ones stock! here it is, I think a 4.5 or 6 inch kit would look great...

8" rize is the best option out there, hqnds down. youll have room for 37s or 38s. you need to figure out if you want a mud tire or all terrain, then if you want big rims like 20-24", or if you prefer more tire get some 17s or 18s.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Nice trucks! I am leaning towards 8" lift with 18x10 Diamo 16 Karat and either kumho mt or Toyo mt 35" or 37".

lilgsx - where were you in Hawaii? Yeah that was quite a shaking at 7am. I could actually hear it coming before it started to shake!

Hey you can put 37's on a ford with a 6" lift and with the lift that I have you can put 36" on and still have plenty room. I would go with a 4-6 with 35" and 18" wheels. They have a converson chart that tells you what size wheels is good to run with a certain size tire and they say that 18 is the best for 35". They do that so you get the right side wall hieght. Hey do me a favor let me know what you use your truck for and I will give you some pointer and you can go from there. Trust me:Thumbup: I would deffinetly go with the toyo m/t they are awesome.

Here's a couple shots of mine. I have the Fab Tech 8" lift with 37/13.50-20's on 20X10 Moto Metals.

Sorry for the Vette photo, it's the only one I have large enough to show the front of the truck.

Whatever kit you decide on, go with a 4-Link setup, not Radius arms. The 4-Link makes all the differance in the world. I am running the Donahoe Racing 4.5 with the 4-Link upgrade. It rides 300% better than stock.

Good Luck
