Help me keep my teeth in! F-350 Suspension Question

I now own a 04' F-350 SRW King Ranch 4-door LWB FX-4 & stock wheels & tires. I use the truck mostly as a commuter and the beds empty. Problem is some of our roads here in pretty bad shape with repetitive road seperation where the concrete pavement meets about every 20 foot. When I drive on some of these roads at 60-70 mph the rear end has a terrible road hop! almost to the point of "getting air". The truck comes stock with "Rancho" shock (probably the 5000 model) Does anyone have a solution other than tying a VW to the top of my bed
to get a better ride? Hate to buy other shocks and not be happy.

Better shocks. DR (Donahoe Racing) or Bilstein.

Changed a few things. More than some, less than others

I can totally relate to your problem. As already said, get different shocks. My choice is going to be the Bilsteins when I get them.

Life changes, so roll with it, not against it.

Donahoe or the Blisten. Will give you a much better ride. I am putting on a Donahoe lift kit and it should ride way better than stock.

Another vote for shocks. The Rancho's on the FX4 suck. Bils are much better at controlling the hop. I think the Bils and the DR Sig series are the same shock aren't they? Just different labeling.

Thanks for the imput and sorry about not posting a reply yesterday, exhausted when I finally got home.

As for the DH Shocks, my truck is bone stock height and will probably stay there unless I Remove the rear spring block and install the lower one for the DRW and I believe the DH are for raised trucks of a min of 2.5"

Bilsteins, I have them on my Motorhome and I have not had a complaint. I will see where the best deal is and probably go that route.

Yep, I searched around on their site awhile, it sounds like they're definetly building or having their own built.
