Another Lift Question!

I have a 04 F-350 FX4 SRW King Ranch and I am really not happy with the rear end up as far as it is (Used Truck but I think it's Stock). I look at the F-250's and they appear fairly straight and level, my rear end looks like it's about 3-4" higher in the rear. Most of my driving is commuting and not off roading, would I be better to lift the front a bit (which should give me more travel) or lower the back and could I used the lift blocks from a 250? be advised that there are factory overload springs on the truck as well and I have a Nepolean body so I would like to keep the truck as low as possible but if I can improve the ride I will sacrifice.

I had the same truck and installed a 2.5" leveling kit in the front. Allowed me to clear a little larger tire and did not affect the ride at all. Made the truck look much better. If you want to lower the rear, the 250 blocks will work and should bring it down 2 inches.

If I go with the F-250 blocks, any suggestions on where to get them other than paying like gold for cast iron at the dealer?

Hey Fireball, give me the measurement on those blocks (estimated) and maybe we can do something. I still need to check the rear assembly regarding the overload brackets to make sure it's not part of the block.

I'll double check tonight but I think they are about 2 1/4". They have the bump stop wings. I have the u-bolts too if yours are too long.
I'll post up later tonight when I get home with the exact measurement.

Galaxie, you can just swap the blocks out. People do it all the time w/ no problems.

Yep! That's what I need to do! swap blocks. While were on the page, could I just add a block to the front leafs to bring the nose up a bit or would I need a whole "Kit"?

adding blocks to the front end is a very very bad idea. If you eject a block out of the front you are going to go azz over tea kettle. I would strongly recommend you get a proper leveling kit if that is the look you are after.
