Plowing Shocks...

05 350 Extended Cab Short Bed. Western 9ft plow. I'm going to be doing shocks soon and have been told to use the bilsteins. My question is will they hold up to the bouncing of the plow on the front end? If not what else could i use?

I put twin Edelbrocks on mine and couldn't be happier. I gave up commercial plowing, but they really did the job with a 9' Western.

Couple local buddies of mine that still plow copied my system and love it.

Coincidentally, I have Ranchos on the back that have literally rusted off the mounts and the E-boks still look new after 5 years.

I think that is the best shock you could buy for that application. Monotube design and really helps w/ control.

I didn't think of what Duke was saying, but a dual setup would defintely work as well.

Any pics? Custom bracket or? How was the ride? You'd think it would be really rough without a plow.

The ride will definelty be rougher than a single w/out the plow. You could always switch back when you don't have the plow on.

Just about every lift kit manufacture has a setup. Do you have a favorite? Who do you like for shocks?

No favorites. This is my first real truck. Had a Lightning, M3, S4 etc.... Dont know any good off road brands or shocks. I found some brackets on ebay but they're only for 99-04's. My trucks a 05. Just need the bracket and the shocks that would ride decent but handle the plow.
