Billet grill

Looking for a billet grill insert, Are the polished aluminum ones hard to keep looking good? Thats the only ones I see. Is there chrome plated ones available? Thanks ahead time!!

I've seen a few chrome ones, but they are usually larger bars. Most of the so-called "billet" grills are actually extruded aluminum. The one I have is more of a brushed finish so it's not too hard to keep clean. I would think a polished one would be a bit tougher to keep looking good. If you like the look of the smaller bars like mine, you could probably have it chromed. That would definetly make it more durable.

I'm sure a lot of the vendors here on the board carry them. I bought mine on ebay.
There are a couple of ways i've seen them installed. I left the vertical bars on each side of the grill, but i've seen some guys cut those out also so the whole thing was "billet" straight across.

This is about the best pic I have right now. I can take a better one if you need me to.

Ok, well for some reason attachments aren't wanting to download right now. I'll try again later this evening. Gotta go to the hills now and mutilate a poor tree for my decorating pleasure.

So the polished ones aren't like polished wheels that stain and dull when they get dirty

I have a polished billet grill. It's not hard at all to keep clean. A quick polish once or twice a year and they look great.

I had a polished one on my last truck. After a while it did dull and you will need hit it with some polish real quick. I had a Trenz I think it was. When you cut your grill use a dremel. It makes things very easy.
