Sliding rear window......

My power sliding rear window is ridiculously slow in my 05, I think theres something wrong with it because the power sliding rear window in my 2004 is way faster. Has anyone else had any problems with the window?

I think I saw a kit one time that relocated the power window motor to under the seat, has anyone seen this?

are they the same motor for both windows? Maybe Ford in their infinite wisdom downsized the motor to save cost.

Life changes, so roll with it, not against it.

My power window motors seem extremely slow on my X too. What is up with that? Is it the same thing that aald4X4 has going on?

If you don't lube it and keep using it, it will burn up the motor. Mine got stuck open and I had to have a new one put in. Just lube the bottom track, I used a cable/chain lube seems to work the best.

Ford replaced mine and it is already slowed way down again. Are you talking about the actual track behind the seat and molding or the track that the windo is sitting in?

The track the window sits in. You can se how the window sits inside a plastic cratle with a cable atached to it...I sprayed the track the cratle slides in and the cable it self. Mine slowed down like you said about 4months after they replaced it now I just keep it lubed and it slides like new.

Any way to help the windows go down quicker? The drivers window goes down really slow and comes almost to a stop about 3 inches from being completely open...especially bad with the auto function. All the windows are slow to go down and up though. What can I do about this?
