Turning off belt minder? 06 F250

I have a 06 F250 and I read the directions in the owners manual about turning off the belt minder system for the seat belt, but it will not work, has any one else tried this... Let me know if there is a trick to it.

Thanks in advance!

not sure about the trick, but worst case you can unplug it under the seat.
There are 2 plugs. Unplug one and try it. If it doesn't work, you unplugged the wrong one.

Life changes, so roll with it, not against it.

I cant buckle and unbuckle mine, or else the belt minder just keeps going off... I could wear it for an hour, then take it off to back in my driveway, and the second I unbuckle it, it goes off. I wear my seatbelt, but certain times when I dont like backing a trailer, or just driving around the sub, I would like to not have it go off.

It does work. I did my 07 as soon as I got it. (Drive at work alot off road and hate that chime) WHen I first did my 05 F150, it took a couple of times....It gets frustrating...but it does work.

Just unplug it under the seat. I did mine a long time ago, and have had zero problems.

Don't quote me on this, but if any Ford Techs can confirm or deny this....but I think if you unplug under the seat it will disable the airbag for that seat.
Now given, with our sizes versus other vehicles the odds are in our favor, but its nice to know its there.

I know, WUSS! Right? laugh
