short bed regular cab stroker?

Ok, I am currently in iraq in baghdad and the other day i was at the airport and saw a very interesting truck. It was an 04 f350 regular cab, but it had one of those bed airport truck beds on it, the ones they tow around stuff with. it was a 6.5 foot bed at the longest. I know ford only mad the regular cab with a long bed so where can i find one of these truck for sale so i can buy it and put a short bed on it? Ive always wanted a regular cab short bed stroker.

Your best bet would be to buy a long bow and have the frame shortened, then swap the bed for a short bed.

It is probably a tug. You see them at a lot of airports even in the states. They are usually really low geared and have a ton of weight in the rear. There are jeeps like this too with a little nissan diesel in them They have a transfercase but they are two wheel drive. I guess the transfercase is just in low range.

and you wouldn't want to buy a used one, those airport trucks usually get beat.

yeah they are hard to find, the Air Force has cummins short flat beds and regular cabs we call them bobtails, we use them to tow aircraft. A buddy of mine had a extended cab short bed stroker, it looked pretty good.
