More boost?

I have an 86 Ranger with the 2.3L Mitsubishi diesel and was wondering if anybody here had any experience with those engines. It's not the fastest truck in town but i can get around 30mpg city 35mpg highway. However I still want more power. I have plans to install a small charge air cooler.

I would like to turn the boost up from the factory 10-11psi but do not want any engine damage since this is my daily driver.

An intercooler/aftercooler would lower boost, but that is not a bad thing because it would make for better quality rather than quantity. i.e. it would be cooler and more dense.
If you have a pump shop near by then you can take it to them and they can up the fuel by 4% I think it is which doen't sound like a lot but it will make a difference.

No pump shop up here in the middle of nowhere, but I might be headed to the Detroit area around XMAS and can probably find one there.

Does anybody have a place to recommend in the Detroit area?
