i love my evolution it has great power and some other cools stuff for reading codes and other diagnostic gizmos, i really haven't met to many folks that have been unhappy with them... and at $300 you should buy it, that is around what most dealers pay for them

BadPSD...first off welcome to the site. Lots of good guys and gals hang out here...and we sincerely hope that you can hang for awhile.

What is it that you are exactly looking for? With the Evo...you have a tuner which is easily uploaded and downloaded...but takes a little time. With a chip...you can have tunes loaded especially to suit your needs and your truck...like towing or racing. Unlike the Evo where the tunes are more generic. But...there is a bit more involved with the installation and removal.

We have some great vendors here on site that sell chips and tuners. Don't be afraid to call them up and ask questions. They will help you get exactly what you need for your situation...at an awesome price.

first off, thanks for all the responses :HappyMugs. the only thing that i would really like that the evo doesnt have is like on the fly hp changing. kinda like the edge comp (but they dont make it for an older powerstroke). i might look into a custom chip because i think it would be cool for it to be what i want, but how do you change the settings on a custom chip?

there is a switch you mount on yor dash with up to 6 different settings. if you ever upgrade your truck furethe rthe chip can be reflashed with new tunes.

My thought's exactly issed: These same E-bay shopper's are the very one's that blow my phone up when something goe's wrong with the E-bay junk. You buy it from E-bay, find the guy you bought it from and ask him to fix it. In other word's, use site vendor's. :agreed: Thank's for letting me get that out. Gary
