Lock Auto Hubs using Upfitter switch???

Would it be feasible to wire the vacuum pump that controls the ESOF hubs so that they only lock when a switch is flipped (upfitter preferably). That would give a 2 lo option and also you could lock the hubs before entering a slick/muddy situation and not have to worry about getting out to manually lock the hubs in a situation where you could not roll the tires over which to my understanding is the proper way to lock auto hubs. I do like to drive around in 4 hi but sometimes I have to to prevent having to lock hubs manually, because I don't like the harsh engagement that sometimes comes when the hubs lock if the tires aren't allowed to roll allowing the hubs to freely lock.
