i thought they were the same except the 350 has a added leaf in the rear leaf springs to allow it to hold more weight in the bed

the newer 350's also have taller blocks in the back. They should have pretty similar suspension and ride quality. The 250 is a 3/4 ton truck and the 350 is a 1 ton truck.

I was told just the rear springs- that ups the GVW rating- every thing else is the same. I went with the 250 as the insurance was lower with my carrier and didn't need the extra capacity- if you are towing- heavy haul- consider the 350- my last truck was a 350-

only real difference is the rear block.

Insurance cost, license plate cost, different rear spring blocks, GVW stickers, and fender badges.
Look at the GVWs for both trucks, if you are going to be hauling or towing heavy you may want the F350 just to be "legal", otherwise just get the F250.

The F350 has taller blocks so it can haul more without sagging, they also give it a higher load rating. The axle is the same and you can order the same springs in both, overloads included. My '03 F250 and my dad's '03 F350 have identical rear suspension and axles with the exception that his block is 3.8" and my block was 1.9".

Rear blocks don't do CRAP to increase your hauling ability.

F-350 has bigger blocks, higher GVWR, and usually higher insurance. Oh, and the F-350 is available as a dually. If you're looking at older trucks (OBS), the F-250 will have the Dana 44 TTB and the F-350 will have the Dana 60.

correct. the blocks just make it taller in the back. If your looking for an OBS get the F-350. Manly because of the Dana 60.
