Help, Lariet Leather is cracking!

Got out of my truck today, and noticed that the leather is cracking where it creases just above the plastic where the seat controls are. Is there anything anyone recomends to seal it so it doesn't tear, or get any worse. Do they make such a product, maybe that is even a color match (tan leather)? Thanks in advance. Levi

I use Lexol Leather Conditioner. Which reminds me that it's time to treat them again. I think Ford recimmends every 6 weeks?

If they don't work, you might need to go with the following product:

2K2 F350 PSD/ZF6, Fluidampr/Melling LPOP, AirDog/ITP RR, DP F5, Tymar/high-flow outlet/MBRP 4", Dynatrac Free-Spin hub conversion

Mine is doing the same thing. You know what I figured out caused it. The rivets on the back pockets on my Wrangler's. As I slide in and out the rivets catch that seam on the seat.

It sounds like he is talking about the side of the seat, not the actual seating surface itself. The side of the seat is vinyl. And once its started to crack, there isn't anything you can do to stop it. Just gotta be careful getting in and out of the truck to lessen the tear.

Ya, it's on the side. I'm thinking of something that dries soft and clear, just to keep it from getting worse. Something like a clear caulk or something. Damn seat. Thanks for all the info. Some of those aftermarket seats are sweet. Levi

Same thing happened on my F150. So on my F250 I've been using some leather conditioner a couple times a year... and they seats still look new!

usually in a 6L the seats are the least of the worries.
