mud flaps--yay or nay?

I'm trying to decide on whether to re-install the molded Husky mud flaps I removed to get my rockers sprayed last week. While they do a half-azzed job of protecting my rockers (re-directing where the mud sprays, not blocking all of it) I'm also kind of liking the cleaned-up look not having them provides so what are your thoughts--keep 'em or ditch 'em?

With the flaps:

Without the flaps, the front of your step bar will take a beating.

My vote... put em on.

Life changes, so roll with it, not against it.

My vote, put them back on! My ram never had them on and the stones chipped the heck out of the paint on the lower panel.

I wish the previous owner had factory mudflaps on mine when he had it... it has some decent sandblast on the bottom of the doors, and caused the seam to rust prematurely. I installed some of the Ford ones last fall and should have done it two years ago when I bought it.

Keep 'em on.
