05 Headlights into an 04

I recently aquired a super clean all original Harley Edition F350. As a volunteer firefighter I would like to install a strobe warning system in the truck, but I don't want to cut up an unmodified truck.

I'm considering installing a set of aftermarket 05 Harley headlights, and installing strobes in them - I won't feel bad cutting up aftermarket headlights.

My question is this - I understand that putting the 05 headlights into the 04 radiator support requires some clearancing - how much? Is it minor trimming that can be done nicely, or does it require hacking a big hole in the rad support?

Anyone whos done this please tell me how your install went, and what I might be letting myself in for....

Thanks

Gregg

I put 05s in my buddys 03. Its not that bad get a good dremel and a cutting wheel just make the circle for the back of the headlight larger in the balk head of the truck. Test fit as much as you can and take your time.

There is a pic of where I cut the holes larger, dont mind the honda photos. Friends beer and cameras sometimes do stupid things.

Hope this helps

When mounting the strobe bulbs I placed mine pretty close to the turn signal bulbs. I had no clearance issues. With my buddies he mounted his to far from the stock bulbs and had to cut extra space in the header pannal for them to fit just right.
