Semi-gloss or flat rims?

The set of Weld Sidewinders I grabbed are at the powdercoater now but I'm having second thoughts about going with semi-gloss (~40% shiny) instead of "flat" (which wasn't all that flat, actually...). I can't believe I'm being so wishy-washy about it but what do you all think--should I stick with the semi-gloss or call the guy tomorrow and have him shoot the rims with flat black powdercoat?

The way you are blacking your truck out John...I would also lean toward flat.

The Line-X I have on the rockers is still new enough to have a little bit of a sheen and the paint is plenty shiny but I'm not a fan of the super-glossy look on tires--I'd rather they be clean and black, but not looking like I just drove through an oil slick. I'm actually leaning towards having the coater shoot them with flat, since I could always put a coat of wax on the rims to shine 'em up a little but if they're too shiny, there's little I could do (other than steel wool or blasting them lightly), to dull 'em down.

I just got back from the powdercoater and decided to go with their "flat" instead of the 40% gloss I picked yesterday. He had samples of both coatings on parts he had just done and when I took them outside in the sun, the 40% was way way way shinier than it looked inside their shop yesterday and the "flat" was exactly what I was looking for. The way the shop owner explained it, there is something about the way powdercoating works that prevents him from applying a truly dead-flat finish and there will always be some gloss, even if it's only 5%-10%.
