western snow plow wiring question

Hey guys, I wanted to know if any of you when installing a new western plow with the isolation module, can you use the second battery instead of the primary battery, and would it make a difference. Thanks

i wired my plow motor to the pass(primary) battery. The driver side battery got the modual. i just let it sit on the battery, it stays put and the hood misses it.. You got a good plow there. i LOVE mine (8.6 western v)

Yes they are very good plows, this is my second one, and I always wired the relay, or motor, to the driver side primary battery, but its just too cluttered with the relay their so I wanted to move it to the pass side batt, by the way its a pro plus excellent plow I love it

I look at the primary battery as the one that gets charge from the alternator first.. this is the reason i went to the pass battery with the plow motor that uses alot of juice..

the Passenger side battery gets the charge from the alternator first. That is the battery i recommend for the plow motor I also sugest adding a 2nd 4gauge wire from the alternator to the battery.. this will help it out a little when trying to keep up with the plow..

with the batterys in parallel as they are neither one is primary they also charge at the same rate unless one is bad and that would cause it to draw more current from the alt. but the batterys will always seek level voltage unless you have an isolater between them.

"I use baby wipes.....

Because if you think that a wadded up piece of paper is actually getting the chit off of your butt.....then I have to ask a question....

.....if you wiped a turd on your arm....would you just use a paper towel to get the turd off?.....or would you wash your arm?...

...let that thought roll around in your head for a moment...

" thank you tank for that insightful thought
