a flashing light means a misfire is occuring, and after awhile the light will become solid. either light condition will set a code. what i would do first is re-check the codes, and see what cylinder it is. its possible that water might be in the other plug holes.
be carefull removing spark plugs in these as they are prone to break. i also assume he used a 9/16" plug socket. i have seen people break plugs during installation. also nickle type anti-seize should be used on the metal jacket part of the ground electrode.
one more thing, the 3v's have known problems with the variable cam timing phasers which will sound like a lifter and its usually bank-1 rh side.
