Don, I would go for the class-A diesel, but the price difference could be alot. Depending on how many people on board and how long and far your trip is going to be and if you plan to tow a trailer or not may be a decision factor. Maybe someone else with better insight/experience will chime in. Let me know how it goes when its all said and done, as I have thought of renting a motorhome for a family road trip, sounds like fun. Certainly alot cheaper than buying one. Harry

yeah exactly what we're thinking...i would personally prefer to rent an A - diesel
but a C for a road trip is probably just fine for us.

im not really even sure who to rent from so those recommendations would be
helpful....ive googled but would prefer to hear from someone that has 1st hand
experience w/ any particular rental company theyve used.

I personally can't vouch for these guys, but I see their rigs a lot in the Northeast. Always clean and in good shape.

Thanks. I know of cruise 'merica and friends who rented from them had bad experiences...lots of up charging and their stuff was beat to ****.

Im not even gonna bother at this point...I can run TWO cars 1300 miles round trip
cheaper than i can rent a class A for (and id still need to pull a car or rent one).

money used for a class A rental will go a long way toward the purchase of a
used TT or 5er

Ive been looking, just havent found the right thing for us.

im looking for something in the 28-30ish foot range that has one or two slides,
id would be preferred to have at least ONE extra bed or bunk that is large enough
for an adult to fit on.
