How much cargo on the roof?

If I installed a Safari Rack on the roof of my crew cab, how much weight can I put up there?

I'm trying to figure out how to haul my TT and four 4-wheelers. I have a 500, 350, 200 & 125. I was thinking of putting the 500 and 350 side by side across the bed and the 200 on a rack on the rear of the TT. Could I put the 125 on the roof of my truck? We should've bought a toy hauler...

Does the rack have a weight rating or limit? That may be the deciding factor. I have seen those racks before with a lot of stuff up there but it wasn't heavy stuff. Mostly an ice chest or baggage.

Ask Tank, he has a roof rack. Or Andy, I think his name on here is dieselsmoke0204.

Living up in the north i have seen a lot of stuff on racks mounted to the roof. Including ATV. Now most of the ones that i seen were actually braced of the sled/atv rack on the bed. I think it comes down to the manufacturors weight limit on thos things.

Hmmm, depending on the manufacturer and price I have seen racks with weight capacities from 200-1700 lbs. I'm guessing if I got one with a high capacity it would prevent damage to the roof. I just don't want to damage the truck.
