Ford only started logging the keycut by vin numbers in '99 but It seems to me that they are starting to drop the info after 10years, so the 99's are being phased out or already gone off their logs, and next year the 2000's will go.

If by chance you kept the keycode or original owner did you may be in luck. The keycode would have been on a little tag that came with the original keys, either a metal tag or white plastic tag with a 4-5 digit sequence (cant remember which) Every now and then i have been lucky to find that someone threw this tag into the glove box.

If you have multiple locksmiths in the area I would call around because I have seen a wide variety of pricing for this service. May also be cheaper on you to take the truck to them ( save $$$ on service call )

My motto: Be nice, be polite, but have have a plan to kill everyone that you meet.

no they said that a lock smith wold have to do it and me and the wife just moved in to a house and the neighbor across the street is a lock smith so he just walked over with his tool box and made the key and made me a second copy for 35 bucks every wher else that I called was 80 to 150 bucks so I say I came out ahead except the wife the whole week and then some more when I had to pay for the key but all is well and now comes the makeup
