Who plows with a 5/6 speed?

Just like the title says...

Would you get an automatic next time?

What's the plus's and minus's of a manual?

Considering options. Thanks guys!!

I used to plow with my 97 F350 Dump, it had a 5 speed. NEVER AGAIN! Plowing sucks with a manual, unless your just doing a driveway or two. We do mall parking lots, so in a good storm we're out for 10-12 hours easily. By the end of the storm my left leg was ready to fall off. I HIGHLY suggest if your serious about plowing go with an Auto.

2009 F350 4x4 CCLB Job 2, Lariat Ultimate, 6.4L, Auto, Tuned by KEM, S&B, DPF/DOC delete, 325/65xR18 Nitto Terra Grapplers on Weld EVO Cheyenne 8 wheels, 2.5" Levelling Kit, Carriage Works Billet Grill, Recon Smoked Mirror and roof lights, Mag-Hytec Diff. Covers, Line-X Xtra Spray on liner, Weatherguard toolbox, DuraFlap mudflaps, Bilstein 5100's, ALL The Factory Options!

I have a 5 spd i plow with and my old truck was a auto.. the 5sppd s alittle more work but it does hold bettero nsteep slopes.. iplow a nasty hil and i can creep down in gear no throttle/ fuel and get down ..if i push the clutch in and use the brakes coast it slides... i personally like the 100% direct connection between the engine ands tires.. the auto didn't have that ...i don't care about shifting much normally im in low range and let out th eclutch and go.. not shifting much just stopping and backing up..and its not bead.. i definately would get another manual.. but i'm not the norm out ther..but again i am one of few that plow with a stick and like it better..
Thanks,
Deo

plowing with a manual suck's IMO !

I plowed with my 77' F350 tipper good old granny 4spd, after 10-14hours of plowing you wished ya had a short wheel based automatic trans truck . . .

Plowing small lot's with a 5+2 sucks as well, i have done that with my 84' F700 now i let the "NEW" guy's start with that truck
