Key Pad Lock Code

What is the process for re-programming the lock key pad on the door of our Expedition? We bought it used and the dealer didn't have the code.

Thanks!

I think ford is the only ones who can pull the code. I believe that if you want to put in your own code you have to have the original.

What year is the Expedition pm sent on details

You need the original "factory" code in order to program yours. If you cant get the factory code a Ford dealer will have to retrieve this with their diagnostic computer. If you are in good standings with a Ford service dept they may hook you up for free but expect to pay maybe $50 or less. They should also assist you in programming your own 5-digit code.

If you have the factory code and want to make you own, then do this...
1. enter factory code ( ***** )
2. immediately enter the "1/2" button
3. immediately enter your 5-digit number

after step 3 the locks should cycle to confirm but not always, now the factory code and your new code will work. TIP... never give out the factory code because it cannot be changed without replacing the module, you can change your code as often as you like

more tips:
hitting 7/8 & 9/0 at the same time will lock all doors
hitting 3/4 after entering keycode will unlock all other doors
hitting 5/6 after entering keycode will pop the liftgate glass or trunk if equipped

My motto: Be nice, be polite, but have have a plan to kill everyone that you meet.

You can always find your code behind your dash. If you dont want to pay the dealer. In my case they wanted to charge me $85. So i dug around and researched the Net. And i retrieved my code from within my truck.

So how hard would it be to add the keypad to my door. I have a 2000 F-350 Lariat with the remote entry/start module installed.

The true factory keypad would be difficult to do, wiring, pads, holes on the door, module etc... They do make a Ford "dealer installed" keypad that sticks on the door the same as an emblem would with adhesive tape. These types of keypads are basically like a keychain/keyfob and program the same way, except you enter a numeric code on the pad instead of buttons on a remote.

Can you (or anyone) please elaborate the exact location of the code behind the dash??? My next door neighbor has a 2006 F-250 and the dealer wanted $80+ just to run the diagnostics for the keypad code.

Thanks everyone!!!!
