hey guys any one no anything i should be looking for im going to help my friend tomorrow getting her to get a truck instead of her Hyundai haha she found this f 150 just wondering if theres any thing i should be looking at in particular with these trucks. thanks in advance!

2004 f250 6.0 psd, 285/75r16 pro comp x terrains, 5 inch suspension lift, 5 inch exhaust from the down pipe back, k&n intake, hyper tech, full egr delete and arp head studs for now

I know the exhaust manifolds have a tendency to warp, so definately check for exhaust leaks. Also, check out this thread, should give you a few more ideas.

They're very solid trucks. Exhaust manifolds warp occasionally (not all that common) and spark plugs shoot out of the heads occasionally (more common, but easily fixable). Other problems include cracks in the paint on the door by the window frame, door lock actuators which don't work, and broken blend doors in the heater ($30 part, $500 of labor). I had a 4.6 F-150 for 43K miles (82K - 125K) and other than brakes, front wheel bearings, tires, new plugs, and the blend door problem, I never had ANY issues with the truck. It never let me down and the motor & transmission never required any work. Now, the retard I sold it to dropped a rod in the motor, but that's cause he's an idiot.

My 4x4 97 F-150s got 277K and it still runs like new. The inside of the truck you cant tell the miles a bit, but being im in the UP of michigan shes starting to rust out haha...
