That isn't really a conversion....

You have two options for making that work:
1. Find an 05-up Front bumper to put on with that set, OR
2. Cut a little bit off the bottom of that grill so that it will work with your 01 bumper.

Personally I think that the second option looks funny, but it is a way to save some money.

The auction includes the header panel which I don't think you would need for the conversion, I could be wrong.

As far as I know to do the swap to the 05-07 front end you need,
Grille
Headlights/turn signals
Bumper

There is a company on Ebay that sells a modified 05-07 grille that will fit on the front of a 99-04.

Got some deer damage to fix on the F350 and when it gets repaired will put on the whole 05 front end. The deer damaged the bumper, grille, and one head light.

Try Craiglist before you buy on Ebay for the parts if you do the swap.

If you want to do the full '05 conversion...you are going to need the bumper and bumper valance, as well as the matching bumper brackets. I did this on my truck...and that kit only supplies about half of what you need to do the job completely.

However...for the grill, header panel and lights...the price isn't that bad. You could win that auction...then try to find a bumper/bumper valance/bumper brackets to complete the kit.

I agree I don't like the 05 grill with the earlier bumper. It is cheaper but doesn't look right.

Thanks guys but I have a TJM winch bumper and it has a bigger gap between the stock grille and the stock bumper so Im pretty sure I dont need to trim. I know I do need the header, and this is an all in one kit. Only thing I will need is a Ford Emblem. So you would say go for it?? Also, ive tried craigslist and the only thing on there is the grille, not lights or anything

Did you ever swap out the front end?

If so --- could you post some pics or send me some and how tough was it ?

I have a 03 f250 and someone ran a light and smashed me. So I wanna upgrade the front end to the 05 look.

Thanks

I just did mine and I would recommend using all OEM parts, I used after market grille, header panel, upper bumper valance and it still looks good just doesn't look exactly like a factory 05 -07 front end.

Thanks for the fast reply. It looks good ! How hard was it ? What dont you like about it ? Did you buy the parts from ebay? I found a company on ebay (autosdepot) who has a black set up --- black harley grill, smoked lights, bumper, fogs, reinforcement for like $700. Did you get it from the same company? OEM would probably bE a hell of a lot more.
