Exclamation Shifter problems!!!???

Need some help.[/B] I backed out of the driveway and when I shifted to Drive it would not pull. Shifted back to reverse and it moved, back to Drive and it moved but it now goes forward in any shifter position except park. Park holds and comes out just like normal. The shifter indicator moves like it's working but it's not. No grinding or scrubbing noises. Eased back into the driveway. Any thoughts or ideas appreciated. I have not made any close examinations yet. My shop is my gravel driveway, it has rained the last couple of days, it's 30 degrees outside and it's dark. I will check it over tomorrow but thought I would ask in case anyone can tell me what to look for. First thought was to post this in the 6.0 forum, but decided to try here first.
Thanks

Garage
doubtful that it's that because it is still going into park.

Bad news. The problem is not outside the transmission unless it is electrical. All the fasteners and clips are in place. Move the shift lever and it moves the cable which moves the rod going into the transmission just like it should. So I guess it is inside the transmission and the next step is pull the transmission pan and take a look. If anyone has a diagram or bottom view picture of the guts, please let me know. I will keep you posted.

Update

Scanned the Excursion. No engine DTC, No Transmission DTC. Body codes U1058, U1059, U1073, U1262, U1027 and B1352. I know the codes short definition. What I don't understand is what to do about them or if they have any connection to my tranmission problems.
