2005 5.4L F150 leaking injectord

My dad recently had an injector go bad on his F150 and it filled the cylinder and bent a rod. Ford replaced the engine with a new shortblock now 6 months later the check engine light came on he pulled out his plugs and found two were saturated with fuel. He does not have a local dealer and is fairly remote, what should he look for?

He wants to replace all of the injectors now, what is the process for it?

Any other ideas?

AND YOU THOUGHT CARTER SUCKED

Ford put out a warranty extension for the injectors on the 3 valve 5.4's. The coverage is extended to 11 years or 120k miles. I would say your best bet would be to drop it off at the dealer and let them take care of it. If he wants to do the job himself they are fairly simple to do. Remove the air filter housing on the top of the motor, remove the FRP sensor electrical connector on the fuel rail, vacuum line, and fuel feed line. Remove the 4 fuel rail retaining bolts and lift the fuel rail out.

There is aslo a TSB for blowing Spark plugs out of the heads, (earlier years) as well as spark plugs breaking when removing them, ( bad angle special tool made by Ford required)

Spark plugs blowing out was 1999-2001, spark plugs getting stuck in the head is the 2004-current 5.4 motors, but he's already taken his plugs out as stated the original post.

OP, take it to the dealer, it's under warranty for this. I'd call the dealer, I'm sure Ford would rather pay for the tow than a new short block...
