what kind of bed cover? we did some on a chevy with one of the roll-up type covers. came out pretty good. just moved the cover back and then made a cover plate for around the stacks.

Here's how I did mine. I had a t-pip cover made, then I shortened the side rails and had a local shop shorten the cover.

Cut holes in the cover and metal grommets to seal the edges.

For grommets - pick what you want to make them from and cut with 1/2 in larger hole for the stacks and 4 in larger for the out side. Cut 4 - top and bottom both sides. Cut a rubber or felt gasket to fit the stack. If they are turned out they will need to be larger and the rubber flex to install. Finish to suit - polish, paint... and rivet in place.

Sewing a trim is another way, cut a strip to cover the raw edge and sew in place like the canvas on a boat.
