There are so many out there, I can't suggest one as I have only seen the other side of them and most companies that do them have different levels of coverage too. Pay attention to all the fine print they have because most do not cover everything the customer thinks they do, and even if they cover a repair they may not pay for all of it. Keep in mind these policies are an "insurance" for breakage, just like other insurances their main business is making money not taking care of you!

My motto: Be nice, be polite, but have have a plan to kill everyone that you meet.

Save your money and put it towards the repairs. We got one for my wife's Ex and anything that we did try to have covered was a hassle and a half. It took 3 weeks to approve an alternator replacement. Denied the transfer case becausee it didn't self destruct. We caught the major damage before it happened and brought it in as soon as we started hearing a problem. We didn't even bother on the supposed 4x4 hub replacement either. We bought the Gold coverage that SUPPOSEDLY covered everything 100%. Even when I tried to call and cancel it I sat on hold for 2 1/2 hours and then finally ended up getting disconnected. So pretty much they are all a scam. Even my mechanic had to laugh at how bad the service was.

Now are all companies this bad? Probably not but after seeing this kind of service it makes you wonder why one would purchase such a contract like this again. Perhaps just a bad taste in my mouth but a huge dent in my pocket to go along with it.

i've only had one aftermarket one and thats on the truck i have now. it is from AUL. i had them include the warranty with the purchase, a month or two after getting the truck the trans went out (no thanks to me ) the trans shop had it back to me within a week with full coverage from AUL.

this was my experience and no complaints... maybe someone else here has used AUL and can chime in also. there are a couple different plans you can purchase from them

I had did the same thing you did smkndzl, when I purchased the truck i rolled the Warranty into the payments, had great coverage and never had a problem, however once the contact is up I can not buy another one from them, so now im stuck with out a warranty, do you have a contact number for the company aul

I keep seeing Fords ESP being mentioned as the best warranty to get. Is there a reason you're not concidering them? I'm in the process of buying a truck and have been wondering if I should get an extended warranty also. The dealer was pushing a warranty (name started with a Z, can't think of it) and quoted me $3345 bucks. Yikes!
I passed.

Last extended warranty I bought was a good one I bought through Carfax. I had two major problems on a F-150. A $1200. and $750. repair and they were fixed with no hassel. They have a few different programs and deductibles.
