Lowering a 4x4

Hey guys and gals, I have a 2004 F350 CC LWB 4x4 that has the camper package on it and I would like to lower it. Has anyone lowered a 4x4? What do I need or do they make a kit? Oh yeah, before you ask why, I have back issues and it is hard to get in and out of the beast and no I'm not trading. She is paid for!

Thanks
Scott

That's what the wife said but I despise running boards. Mine came with the chrome tubular ones when I bought it but that was the first thing that disappeared. So running boards are out of the question.

Just bought my truck recently. They were showing me one (don't remember the model but was 2010. May have been a 150?) and the boards only came out when you opened the door. Didn't see them otherwise.
May or may not be able to add them.
I have the factory ones and like them. Really helps stepping up.
I can relate to the back problems!

Yes, you can buy running boards that only come out when you open the doors.

The thing that is really going to limit you on lowering it is the bumpstops on the front axle.

Those kits are for 2wd trucks... he has a 4x4. There's really no good way to lower these trucks. You could remove the block from the rear, but that won't drop the front end any.

Does a 2wd truck use the same front springs as the 4wd? How much would it lower the truck if I ran the basic springs instead of the camper package springs? I'm not looking to lay frame, I just want to be able to get in the truck without having to jump up and I am 6'3". The truck sets at 42" at the top lip of both front and rear fenders and 28" at the floor when the door is open. Oh, just a note, I HATE running boards!

Thanks
