Steering Box bad ?

I have a 06 E 350 and it steers weird it has been to the alignment shop 4 times and they now tell me the box is bad ?

It turns great in the turns but when you go straight it's two hands on the wheel to keep it on the road
There is no free play in the wheel
If you make a U turn and loosen up grip on the wheel it will almost come
back to center and still keep turning I have to put it back to center

The steering it kinda tight going straight
I have been Googling it and found someone else with the same problem
I believe it is the same box as the Excursion
Do you think there is a bunch of bad box's out there?
I would hate to go buy one and it still steers like this

id say check your ball joints before going for the box,it may not do it in the air when the ball joints are unloaded.also most boxes have a tension adjustment on them that determines how loose they are.

I am also thinking that the previous owner was farting around with the screw
on top of the box trying to remove some play out of the wheel and it's a little
tight
