dodge tow mirrors

i was at a party last weekend and some @$$hole punched out my mirror...so what do u guys think out making custom mounts to put dodge flip up mirrors on my truck...i love the way they look!

theres a guy with a standard cab 2wd 1500 dodge that put the tow mirrors on his and has them flipped up ALL the dang time... man it looks retarded!

I'd say about 80% of Dodge owners around here drive 24/7 with their mirrors flipped up. About 60% of those guys are driving around with one of them completely broken off. Can they not figure it out.......close those things up when you don't need them.

They look retarded when flipped out but man are they great to have.

PS the glass likes to fall out of them due to a cheap clip, however they hang by the wires and go back in easily.

Yeah, all my friends with dodges have that problem. They just spray the clip with 3m adehsive spray and it fixes the problem

My plan is to take a sheet of diamond plate and cut it to the shape of the base of the ford mirror, then mount studs to bolt it where my mirror bolts up, then put a rubber or foam backing on it to protect my paint, then drill holes in it where the dodge mirror will bolt to it... U guys think it will work??
