the dust shield is about 10 bucks at o'reilly's etc.

the hub vac seal was pretty expensive $30+ & was available ONLY
at the dealer when i did my ball joints.

the yellow 0-rings, i also got from the dealer, for about 5 bucks.

i used duralast (autozone) lifetime grease able ball joints and am VERY
happy w/ them (theyve already lasted 2x what the OE balljoints did)

i recommend going w/ a lifetime ball joint, available from a LOCAL retailer...
that way if you DO need replacements you can exchange the old for new the same day !

Because if you think that a wadded up piece of paper is actually getting the chit off of your butt.....then I have to ask a question....

.....if you wiped a turd on your arm....would you just use a paper towel to get the turd off?.....or would you wash your arm?...

...let that thought roll around in your head for a moment...

" thank you tank for that insightful thought

bill - have you priced the parts at your local autozone ?? the duralast ball joints
were less expensive than the "kits" on line.

wow powerstroke shop is really breaking it off in folks !

i know some will say "one stop shopping" and its lifetime warranty...but ive
got to ask...how much running around do you have to perform to eat up 176 bucks
in fuel & time (176 is the difference powerstroke shop is charging OVER Autozone).

imo you cant BEAT autozones lifetime warranty....theres an autozone in damm near
EVERY town and you dont have to maintain the receipt (all autozone warranties are
tracked by phone number)...i wonder how many DAYS you'd have to wait for
powerstrokeshop to SHIP you the new ball joints (are they even open on a weekend) !?!

the local (autozone) warranty is PRICELESS <and they save you 176 bucks> !
