2001 F-450 Brake problem

Installed a new caliper on the rear. Basic stuff. Finish up and bleed the entire system the old way. Pump hold...crack open bleeder valve let fluid/air bleed out.....tighten valve before release pedal. Done this over starting with the caliper fartherest away from reservoir. Pedal is still spongy. Is this one of those "ford" better idea ways of bleeding the system? What am I doing wrong? Brakes are simple hydraulics. Oh yeah............no leaks anywhere.
