Painting Headlights

-Bake the lights at 250 degrees for about 10 min. at a time while slowly working the lense off with a butter knife. Keep them away from the heat and make sure the oven is heated before you put the headlights in. I got mine hot enough so that you needed to wear gloves to handle them.

-Once you have that off remove all the old glue and mask off the area you don't want paint on including the lip where the lense rests.

-I sanded the area to be painted w/ 600 grit to scuff it up some and then primer/paint/clearNow scuff the area to be painted clean area with thinner..

-Allow to dry and remove the tape.

-Now run a perfect bead of clear outdoor window caulk and replace the lense, make sure the inside is clean first and don't over do it with the caulk.

Be careful doing this. It is really easy to get your lense to hot and get it deformed.
Feel free to ask any questions.
