Clean/tear down your 6.0 Turbo

Well, after an hour of scanning my turbo reconditioning manual from work in, I found out that it is around 30 megs.
I know that there are many members out there that could benefit from this.

Thanks
Terry

No Prob! If you guys and gals out there want, I can also get you the procedures for doing pretty much anything stock related to your engine. Just let me know and I will do my best to find the instructions and specs for you.

How about something that detailed on how to completely redo your brakes on a 7.3 & 6.0 (slide pins, calipers, torque specs and ect)?

Rebuild a stock 7.3 turbo?

remove a dash on a 7.3 (for me )

I will try to think of a few more.

O and as far as cleaning the turbo. It seems like the initial one is done around 50K and then 100K after that. But that is on trucks that get run all day every day so I would say that you could extend that a little bit.

I have read a few times that the turbo on the 6.0 is only good for 50,000, are you basically saying the same thing? Does it need to be rebuilt/ cleaned at 50,000 or can you go 100,000 plus on a stock 6.0 turbo.

Thanks for the info Edge.

They can last longer, just depends on the application. I have seen them go longer without any problems.
