2 1/2 cervini cowl hood

im gonna get this hood so i stopped by my local body shope to get a quote on just painting the hood,im going to install it myself and they want 650 bucks just to paint my hood white, i think they are trying to rip me off, what do you guys think it should cost just to paint my hood, and is there anyone around in the northern virginia area that could give me a could deal on painting my hood thanks shad

The prep is generally higher on fiberglass hoods but 6 bills seams a little steep, im going to call a couplebody shops and see what they say.

Yes, prep work on fiberglass is going to be almost double that of a steel hood. I think 1000-1200 is just abuot right to paint everything you mentioned.

Also, find out if that includes installing all the parts and aligning them. Making a hood fit can be a big pain in the @$$.

That should be an installed price IMO, fiberglass is a pain to prep and make look correct.

No one makes a steel hood for the 08 up trucks yet, to my knowledge. My keystone is for sale, I want to pull.

i dont think i would buy a fiberglass hood, although BadSuperduty has one and it looks killer and the body lines are perfect, you might pm him and see what he paid to have it painted and preped
