add a leaf squeaks in the rear now?

So i did a 2" Superlift add a leaf spring in the rear of my truck about a 2 months ago... For the first month i heard nothing and everything was fine... Now for the last couple of weeks every time i go over a bump or even when im getting into the truck (or other passengers) it squeaks... it seems just to be coming out of the drivers side back tire well (as far as i know.) Is it because its breaking in now and im just going to have to deal with this? I looked in there and really had no idea where to even target or pinpoint whats happening....? Does anyone have any idea why its doing this? All help/ideas i would appreciate, thanks in advance fellas.

have someone jump up and down in the bed (but without their feet leaving the bed so it doesn't make noise) and see if you can locate where its squeaking. Then i'd just spray it w/ some lithium grease and be done with it.

I bet it's because the paint has now worn off and it's
now metal to metal sliding across each other.

I've heard of people putting grease between each spring in the pack
to help reduce squeak.

When you installed the add-a-leaf, where did you place the rectangular
thin spacer that was between the bottom spring and the next one up ...
did you put it under the add-a-leaf or over it? I remember reading
somewhere that those are there to help reduce squeak. I would guess
that the best place to place it would be on top of the add-a-leaf. Although,
I placed mine underneath ( Didn't think about it at the time. )
Mine hasn't started squeaking. I love this add-a-leaf in though. I just
had a yard a a half of gravel put in the back and it didn't even touch
the overloads, or squeak ...

EDIT: Since mine is probably going to start squeaking, too ... I guess
I have to ask: Can you hear the squeak in the cab when you are
driving? ( I may have to buy an amp for my stereo. )

I put it on top of the add a leaf (i think) i should double check that... No you cant hear inside the cab but with the windows down you can hear it over a bump.

Im gonna try 02ShootTheJ idea and put some lithium grease in there... I hope it solves the squeaking bc its annoying sometimes (prolly bc im so anal though lol) Thanks for the advice partner.

how was the install of the add a leaf? do you have to pull the entire spring pack or is there a way around it?

The add a leaf install was alot easier then i thought it was going to be... To be honest with you at first i was a little intimidated by reading the instructions and looking at everything.

But after i jumped into it, it went really smooth. It's basically just dropping the axle, removing the u-bolts taking the leaf pyramid apart (which is simple), and adding the add a leaf to the 2nd to bottom leaf.

Not to bad at all... Putting the leveling kit on in the front was harder then doing the add a leaf.

IMO i love the way my truck sits now, its perfect. Let me know if you need any help.
