As far as I know nobody has anything out to disable that safety feature.

You can however use the voice commands to work it while driving

Seems like you could run a switch to temporarily ground the parking brake wire.....

I was going to try it, but never seem to find the time.

I have had a couple navigation units put in and the stereo guy was able wire both to work while driving. It is just the brake wire that needs to be grounded I belive.

The Ford OEM navigation units are motion based off the GPS signal itself, there is no way to bypass it by the parking brake. LockPic is a company that is good about building bypass modules that take care of this for you. I would check with those guys it usually runs $100-200 and it works very well I have one on the Denali.

Don't leave it in grounded mode.....just flip the switch, make the entries into navigation, then flip the switch back.

Should be very easy to do it yourself.
